The Madimack Inverter Plus is an external variable-speed pump controller designed for compatible single-phase pool pumps fitted with a permanent split capacitor motor. It adjusts the operating speed of the existing pump between 1,200 and 2,900 RPM, allowing the pump to run more efficiently during everyday filtration and at higher speeds when additional water flow is required.
 
Reducing pump speed during normal filtration can significantly lower electricity consumption and operating noise compared with continuously running a traditional single-speed pump at full power.
 
Depending on the pump, operating speed, filtration time and pool system, energy consumption may be reduced by up to 80%.
 
An intuitive touchscreen displays the selected speed and current power consumption. Up to four daily operating periods can be programmed, each with its own speed setting, providing greater control over filtration, chlorination and cleaner operation.
 
The controller automatically runs the pump at maximum speed during its initial priming cycle before changing to the selected operating speed.

COMPATIBILITY—PLEASE CHECK BEFORE ORDERING
 
The Inverter Plus is brand-independent, but it is not compatible with every pool pump.
The existing pump must have:
 
• A single-speed, single-phase motor
• 220–240V, 50Hz power
• A permanent split capacitor motor
• A motor rating within the selected controller’s power and current limits
 
The Inverter Plus is not compatible with:
 
• Existing variable-speed or inverter pool pumps
• Single-phase motors with a centrifugal switch
• Motors using a start relay or start switch
• Series or DC motors
• Shaded-pole asynchronous motors
• Pumps with faulty rotors or capacitors

IMPORTANT INSTALLATION INFORMATION
 
Only one pool pump may be connected to the controller.
The selected operating speed must provide sufficient water flow for the pool’s chlorinator, sanitiser, heater and other connected equipment. The chlorinator cell must remain completely covered by flowing water at the lowest programmed pump speed.
 
The controller requires a suitable RCD with a rated residual current not exceeding 30mA. It must be installed in a shaded, well-ventilated position and protected from direct sunlight and corrosive environments.
 
Plug-and-play connection is possible where the existing pump and power supply use suitable compatible plugs. Hardwired installations or unsuitable existing electrical connections must be completed or modified by a licensed electrician.
