Take the guesswork out of automated pool-valve positioning with the Pentair IntelliValve Digital Valve Actuator.
 
Unlike conventional valve actuators that rely on internal mechanical cams, IntelliValve uses an accessible digital control panel to set the valve’s two travel endpoints. Each endpoint can be adjusted in approximately 3.75-degree increments anywhere within the actuator’s maximum 180-degree travel range.
 
This allows the valve to stop at a customised position rather than only at a conventional fully open, fully closed or fixed 90-degree position. It is particularly useful for setting the required water-flow split for solar pool heating, water features, pool and spa combinations, fountains and other automated plumbing circuits.
 
Thirteen bright LED indicators provide a clear visual display of the valve position. Clockwise, anticlockwise and Save buttons allow the required endpoints to be programmed directly from the actuator without removing the housing or adjusting internal cams.
 
IMPORTANT POSITIONING INFORMATION
 
The IntelliValve allows two customised travel endpoints to be programmed in 3.75-degree increments within a maximum 180-degree range.
 
Once programmed, a compatible automation system moves the valve between those two saved endpoints. It is not a continuously variable or analogue proportional-control valve that can be commanded to an unlimited number of intermediate positions during normal automatic operation.

INSTALLATION INFORMATION
 
The IntelliValve must be mounted onto a compatible diverter valve and connected to a suitable 24V AC pool-automation or actuator-control system.
 
It must not be connected directly to a 230–240V power supply.
 
The actuator must not be configured in a way that can completely block the operating pump’s suction or return path, as this may damage the pump or other pool equipment.
 
Installation and electrical connection must follow Pentair’s instructions and applicable Australian electrical requirements. Installation should be completed by a suitably qualified pool professional or licensed electrician where required.
